OMAYAL ACHI COLLEGE OF NURSING started B.Sc(Nursing) course in 1992 with an annual intake of 50 students and M.Sc(Nursing) in 1995 with an annual intake of 10 students subsequently we increased to 20 seats. At present we have 200 B.Sc(Nursing) students and 40 M.Sc(Nursing) Students.
The purpose of starting this College is to meet the ever-growing need for the qualified nurses in the country, where at Present the number of qualified nursing staff are inadequate. The College has an excellent infrastructure including qualified faculty to run both the Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The college is affiliated with the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University and is recognized by the State and Indian Nursing Council
