Indian Institute of Management, Sirmaur
The Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur is nineteenth in the prestigious IIM family of management schools to be established in India. IIM Sirmaur strives to deliver quality education, training and research in Management in an enabling environment, with a focus on indigenous areas and innovative practices, to develop sensitive corporate leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
IIM Sirmaur currently operates from its temporary campus at the Himachal Institute of Technology, Paonta Sahib in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh government announced that the IIM will be setup at Dhaulakuan near Nahan town in the Sirmaur district. Sirmaur was selected over Kullu and Shimla because an IIM would help to improve the socio-economic conditions of local people.
A central committee selected a site of 210 acres of land in Dhaula Kuan near Nahan town for the permanent campus of the institute.
