National Institute of Technology, Raipur or NIT Raipur is a public technical and research university located in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Founded in 1956 with two engineering disciplines, namely Mining Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering, the institute focuses exclusively on science, technology, engineering, and architecture.

It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance and is one of the oldest institutes established under the National Institutes of Technology act.

NIT Raipur offers 5 Years, 4 Years & 2 Years degree programs.

Presently it offers 12 undergraduate, 11 Postgraduate (including M.C.A and M.Tech. in Applied Geology) and 18 Ph.D programs. The institute offers facilities for Ph.D. and also undertakes R & D activities, provides testing, consultancy and other extension services.

The institution located in Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh State, covering over an area of 100 acres.
