National Institute of Technology Calicut or NIT Calicut , formerly Regional Engineering College Calicut, is a public technical university and an institute of national importance.
Established in the year 1961, the campus is situated 22 kilometres northeast of Kozhikode, on the Kozhikode–Mukkam Road.
NIT Calicut has a total of 10 departments and 3 schools, in addition to the various Multidisciplinary Centres and Thematic Centres.
The Institute offers bachelors, masters and doctoral degree programs in Engineering, Science, Technology and Management.
It has registered patents of 36 products and completed 155 research projects.

Placement Details: Totally 197 companies had visited NIT Calicut for 2023 placements. All together 1144 students were placed in which 751 were from UG, 390 from PG and 3 PhDs. The placement percentage stood at 83.65 with minimum salary package of 3.6 Lakhs INR and Maximum of 50 Lakhs INR. The average salary was 13.77 Lakhs INR.
