National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra or NIT Kurukshetra is a public technical and research university located in Kurukshetra, Haryana, India established in the year 1963.
In December 2008, it was accredited with the status of Institute of National Importance.
It runs undergraduate and postgraduate in programme Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy programme in Engineering, Sciences and Humanities.
NIT Kurukshetra awards four-year undergraduate B.Tech. in various engineering fields. It offers postgraduate (PG) M.Tech. degrees in similar engineering fields as well as Physics. Ph.D. research programmes are offered in engineering, sciences, humanities and social sciences as well as computer applications. It also offers an MBA degree.
NIT Kurukshetra is ranked 58th among the engineering colleges of India by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2023.

Placement Details: The institute has concluded its placement drive for the year 2023. A total of 1014 placement offers were made, and 843 students were placed. Among the placed students, 632 were BTech graduates, 114 were MTech graduates, 72 were MCA graduates, and 25 were MBA graduates.
The median package offered to UG students was INR 11 LPA, and for PG students, it was INR 9 LPA
