National Institute of Technology Manipur or NITMN is an Institute of National Importance situated in Imphal, Manipur, India. It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India.
NIT Manipur is located in Langol, Imphal, which is about 10 km from the Imphal International Airport. The institute is rooted in 341.5 acres of land in lush green areas of Langol, Imphal.
NIT Manipur started its first session on 2nd August 2010 with only three branches of Engineering namely - Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering at Government Polytechnic, Takyelpat Campus.
It is presently functioning in its Permanent Campus at Langol, Imphal, with two more Engineering Branches namely - Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.
NIT Manipur is ranked 95th among all engineering colleges in India and 24th amongst the 31 NITs across the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2023.
