Case against 2 schools for violating DM order- 19-Jan-2014

Ghaziabad: A case has been registered against two private schools here for allegedly conducting classes despite the DM's order for closure of educational institutions till January 19 due to cold.

"We have registered a case against the schools for not following District Magistrate's directive in this regard. A case was registered only after conducting videograhps of running schools," DSP Ranvijay Singh said.

The case has been registered at Indirapuram police station.

On January 15, due to unbearable cold, Ghaziabad DM S V S Ranga Rao had announced closure of all schools (government and private) up to
January 19.

According to district administration, the step was taken owing to unbearable cold.

A district official had warned that if any school was found violating the DM's directive, strict action would be taken against it.
