Scholarship studies in Israel universities!- 24-Oct-2018

The Israel Council for Higher education has announced Israel Government Scholarship 2018 -19 towards research studies for Indian students.  


This scholarship is available to carry out 8 months research / specialization programs and short term studies in Hebrew language in universities approved by the Israel Council for Higher Education. While the former has 5 seats allotted, the later has just 2 scholarship seats.


Subjects: This scholarship is offered for subjects such as Comparative Study of Religions (with specific reference to Judaism), Middle East Studies, Hebrew language & literature, History of Jewish people, Agriculture, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Business Management,  Mass Communication, Environment studies and Chemistry.


Eligibility: This scholarship is eligible only to candidates having acceptance letter from Israel University.  There is no upper age limit. The candidate should have Masters degree in the relevant subject.  For those applying for research in Hebrew language should have completed Post graduation in the same subject.


Candidates having been abroad for studies for over six months are eligible to apply only if they have been in India for at least two consecutive years after coming back from studies.  They should prove to be proficient in English or Hebrew.  


About the scholarship: This scholarship is offered as Partial or as Complete.  The partial scholarship includes part of tuition fees, basic health insurance and monthly allowance for one academic year (8 months).  The full or the complete scholarship is offered as complete tuition fees, basic health insurance and monthly allowance for one academic year.


Travel and accommodation should be borne by the candidate.


Application method: Students can apply only through websites authorized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, India.   


Selection method:  In case more number of students apply, preference would be given to those students having received letter of acceptance from Israeli institution, which ranked higher as per the latest QS ranking of world universities.
