In an effort to encourage students to pursue research activities in foreign countries, Switzerlands Swiss State Secretariat for Education Research and Innovation (SERI), offers scholarship scheme called ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship.
Students from India, Australia and Singapore are being selected for this scholarship scheme. This scheme offers scholarship amount towards research activities for just two to three months. Students can carry out research activities in any field.
The aspiring candidate should have completed Post Graduation in any institution recognized by the Indian government. Even those in the final year of studies can apply for this research scholarship. Moreover, the candidate should have got an approval from an education institution of Switzerland to carry out their research.
The selected candidates will get about 1600 American dollars per month towards monthly expenses. Maximum, they will get about 4,800 American dollars towards meeting two to three months expenses.
It is possible to register towards this scholarship only through online. Students can register in the official web page of ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship. Further, students need to attach a synopsis of the research to be carried out along with the application.
This scholarship will be provided only to those students getting admission in government universities and government research institutions. This scholarship is not meant for students getting admission in private educational institutions.
