Nobody can deny the fact that Engineering & Technology has become an integrated part of our life. Earlier, only once in three to five years changes in the field of Engineering & Technology used to happen. But, nowadays new technologies are emerging every other day.


Apart from computer related segments, in the field of Electrical & Electronics new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, IOT, Embedded Technology VLSI, Data Analytics, and Cloud Computing are unfolding. To the wonder, new technologies are emerging in core engineering domains too.


In view of the technological changes happening, lot of changes is being brought in the government schemes too. For example, government has announced various new projects, in an effort increase the usage of Electric Automobiles. In this situation, both students as well as parents are contemplating whether to take up Engineering or not.


The main reason for this doubt is basically because of the uncertainty prevailing to get a job after completing of engineering studies. At this juncture, the fact here is that, even as students arent sure of getting a job related to Engineering, companies as well as Industries are openly waiting for skilled and talented engineering graduates.


Due to rapid change happening in technology, its highly important for Engineering graduates to fine tune their skills depending on the market need. The biggest question is that would todays skill sets be useful in the next 5 years. Therefore, its extremely important to upgrade skills regularly. While in college, students should choose a project that would directly impact the society. This would facilitate to get good jobs that would be highly rewarding in financial terms.


In this prevailing situation, students should improve the required skill sets while in college itself after making a careful study of the industry and the needed skill sets for the industry.  As it is possible to make it big by being an entrepreneur, students should know the various government schemes and make the at most use of the guidance provided by the college.


In a situation where several skill developments programs are available online, students must inculcate the nuances of self learning. 


Students can surely reach their much expected lifestyle through these efforts.
