UG Programme: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery, a 5 1/2 year programme is being offered at many institutions across the country. Various subjects covered in this course are Anatomy & Physiology, Sanskrit, Ayurvedic Toxicology, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Panchakarma, Pediatrics and Psychology.
PG programmes: After completing a UG programme, it is possible to carry out 3 year MD programme in any one of the 20 different specialisations available such as General Medicine, Panchakarma, Psychology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Pathology, Toxicology, Pharmacology, Alchemy, Pharmacy, Preventive Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Anesthesia and Radiology.
After completing Post Graduation, it is possible to work as a Doctor, Professor or carry out Researches.
Apart from UG and PG programmes in Ayurvedic Medicine there are lot of Diploma and PG Diploma courses.
