New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked all the newly-affiliated schools to register themselves for the integrated test management system (ITMS), said an official statement.

The ITMS is an application that provides each school unique question papers for the summative assessment of class IX and X.

"This innovative solution will allow the CBSE affiliated schools to access question papers," said the CBSE statement.

The board earlier used to provide question papers and marking scheme to conduct the summative assessment through CDs, after the board authorised the schools to conduct class IX and X exams on their own.

"This year the CBSE has decided to provide each school with two sets of unique question papers generated through online software, to ensure standardisation and uniformity," added the statement.

CBSE is the board of education for public and private schools. It conducts final examinations for class 12. It also annually conducts the All India Engineering Entrance and All India Pre-Medical Test examinations for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and medical colleges, respectively.
