Shortage of drinking water is a very big social problem seen throughout the world. In many countries, drinking water could be used after purifying it atleast three times. In some other countries, the need for the usage of water itself is increasing. Hence, Rain Water Harvesting alone seems to be the solution to all the water related problems.
The Centre for Science and Environment at New Delhi provides a five-day Certificate study related to Rain Water Harvesting. In this, Teaching and Training classes are conducted. The course is offered to the Civil Engineers, Building Architects, Urban Planners, Environmental Researchers, Municipal Commissioners and Service Motivated Organizations.
The training given through teaching, field work and practicals makes the students learn planning, structuring and fulfilling of the Rain Water Harvesting Projects. The study also provides opportunities for the students to meet the experts in this field, interact with them and come to know of their ideas. The fees for this course is Rs.8800/-.
