Career planning comprises of few processes among which self analysis is extremely important in choosing a career path.

This is a crucial step as knowing about oneself is a big challenge to many.  It�s simply a deep understanding of your own self.

While making the deep search, you have to find out certain crucial underlying truths about yourself such as:  

1.       Interest
2.       Values  
3.       Skills
4.       Realities

Interests vary from person to person. One maybe interested to sell another maybe in teaching and would vary largely. Now, find out your interest.

Then values!  Values are based on several factors. When an individual is on a career planning another important aspect to consider are the values you can go with. For example, some can manage to work in a domain or an industry where manipulation is highly rampant and is the order of the day. But, for few it would be like fish out of water. So, know your values � plan your career.  

Next, know your skills.  Some have the inherent leadership quality, but some may not. In case, if you don�t possess leadership skills never aspire to take a job that requires it, before acquiring the needed abilities.  

Finally realities! Try to be practical or realistic about yourself and the situations. To quote, though, probably you may possess excellent leadership skills, but lack a basic important ability, don�t plan to move towards a leadership related career until equipping yourself with the relative basic ability. It�s more important to understand the realistic situation of yours, before making the move.
