North-Eastern Hill University was set up by an Act of Parliament and notified on 19th July 1973.
The thrust area of the Centre is to offer courses in the Distance Mode to all those who for some reason or other have been deprived of formal education and are seeking higher education to enhance skill and knowledge irrespective of their age and place of residence.
Courses Offered:
General Course in Floriculture (6 weeks)
Certificate Course in Floriculture (6 months)
Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (1 year)
B.Ed. Special Education (2 years)
Foundation Course on Education of Children with Disabilities (3 months)
Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education (1 year)
