BET is the abbreviation for Biotechnology Eligibility Test that is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), on behalf of Department Biotechnology, Government of India.
GAT-B is an All India Entrance Examination for admissions to Post Graduate programmes in Biotechnology and other Post Graduate programmes such as M.Sc. Biotechnology; M.Tech. Biotechnology; M.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology; and M.V. Sc. Animal Biotechnology.
BET - Biotechnology Eligibility Test is a national level qualifying computer based examination for award of doctoral research fellowships under the DBT-Junior Research Fellowship Programme. BET is held once every year. These fellowships are eligible at any recognized university/institution in India where the selected fellow registers for Ph.D. programme.
A student according to his interest can either apply for one or both of these examinations. Applying to both these examinations are through online mode. These examinations will be conducted online only. Totally, both these papers consist of questions to be answered for 540 marks.

Note: In case of any error committed by the candidate while applying, they can correct it online from 4 to 6 August.
