Divisions: Scores of course divisions are available like Aeronautical Engineering , Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering , Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering,
Information Technology Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
Seat reservation: Admission to Engineering studies in Tamil Nadu are carried out through a TNEA counselling to fill seats at Anna University, Annamalai University, University and Government colleges, Autonomous institutions, Self financed and Government aided colleges.

Seats are filled only through counselling in institutions such as Central ElectroChemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi and Central Institute of Petrochemical Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Chennai.
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 examinations from a recognised board to be eligible to apply for the TNEA 2021. Candidates belonging to general category must have secured at least 45% marks in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 40% of marks are mandatory for candidates belonging to reserved category.
Cut off: Anna University offers admission through TNEA in the undergraduate engineering courses on the basis of cut off marks. TNEA 2021 counselling will be held through online mode.
