State award for TNAU scientist-
Coimbatore: An associate Professor from the Department of Pulses, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University P. Jayamani received the Young Women Scientist State award recently.
The award was given in recognition to her research for 12 years in hybrid rice and pulses. She received the award from K. Ponmudi, the State Higher Education Minister at Chennai, according to an official release.
She was involved in the development of the first rice hybrid CORH 1 and later for the medium duration hybrid CORH 2.
