Shreshta entrance examination facilitates to provide an opportunity for meritorious SC students to study in residential CBSE schools without any fees.
Scheme: SHRESHTA - Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Target Areas.
The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the SHRESHTA (NETS) Entrance Examination to NTA -National Testing Agency. The central government provides free quality education for the top 3000 students selected through this exam. Selected students will be admitted in class 9& 11 in leading CBSE schools.
Eligibility: SC students with a parental annual income less than 2.5 lakhs are eligible for this exam.
Examination: Questions would be asked in English and Hindi. Those SC students willing to write this entrance exam are exempted from examination fees.
Duration of the Exam: 3 hours
