UK scholarship for English teachers!- 6-Apr-2022
The British Council offers a scholarship program for English language teachers in India to pursue a Masters Degree at two of the top universities in the UK.
Significance: This scholarship program will help English language teachers working in government schools in India to understand how to use technology to enhance English language learning in the classroom.
Educational Institutions and Courses:
University of Leeds - Full-time MA
Duration: September 2022 to August 2023.
University of Sterling - Online / Part-time M.Sc. The program is offered to teachers who are unable to stay in the UK for a full year.
Duration: 30 months. It is a must to stay and study for two weeks at the University of Sterling in this programme.
Number of Scholarships: The scholarship scheme is offered to a total of 6 Indian teachers with 3 teachers for each university.
Scholarship Details:
* Exam fee for IELTS
* Tuition to study UK universities
* Expenses to stay in the UK
* To and fro airfare to UK
* Visa fees and insurance premiums will be provided under this scholarship scheme.
Eligibility: The applicant must be a permanent resident of India. Should be an English language teacher working directly in the Government of India. Mandatory to possess English language proficiency expected by universities.
Must not have previously graduated from the UK or have recently lived in the UK. Should not be a dual citizen of the British Government. Must not have received any scholarships from the UK government or educational institutions so far.
