TANCET - Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is an entrance examination conducted for admission to professional postgraduate courses in various educational institutions in Tamil Nadu.
Significance: The examination will be conducted by Anna University on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. In particular, students will be enrolled in postgraduate courses at government-reserved seats in government educational institutions and private educational institutions. Apart from these, other interested educational institutions can also offer admission based on scores obtained in this examination.
Participating Institutions: Anna University Departments, University Engineering Colleges, Anna University Regional Campuses, Annamalai University, Government of Tamil Nadu, Government Aided and Private Engineering, Arts, Science Education Institutions.

M.E - Master of Engineering
M.Tech -Master of Technology
M.Arch - Master of Architecture
M. Plan - Master of Planning
MBA - Master of Business Admission
MCA - Master of Computer Application
Eligibility: For MBA, must have a minimum of 50 percent marks in any of the undergraduate programs for the course. SC, ST, SCA, PC, PCM, MBC, 45 percent marks is sufficient. Similarly, for other courses, the same percentage marks should be obtained in the undergraduate degree in the respective field.
