CUET - Common University Entrance Test is a nationwide public entrance examination conducted for admission to all Central Universities across the country.


This entrance examination is conducted separately for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The examination is conducted by NDA-National Examinations Agency, established by the Union Ministry of Education on behalf of the Government of India. Presently, examination for undergraduate programmes has been announced.


Participating Institutions: 


Aligarh Muslim University, University of Assam, Babasaheb Bhimrao University, Banaras Hindu University, Central University of Andhra Pradesh, Central University of South Bihar, Central University of Gujarat, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Central University of Jammu, Central University of Jharkhand, Central University of Karnataka, Central University of Kashmir, Central University of Kerala, Central University of Odisha, Central University of Punjab, Central University of Rajasthan, Central University of Tamil Nadu in Thiruvarur, Dr. Harisingh Kaur University, Guru Kashidas University, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Jamia Milla Islamia, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other number of universities participate in CUET towards the admission to Under Graduate Programmes. 


Exam details: 


Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at Central Universities is conducted based on the scores obtained in this examination. The computer-based exam will feature questions in the form of 'Multiple Choice'. Questions will be available in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.


Exam Centers:


Totally, exam centers are being set up in 547 cities across the country and in 13 foreign countries.


Exam days: To be held in the first and second week of July.


Examination Time: The examination is conducted in two sessions as 195 minutes in the morning and 225 minutes in the evening. The first session will be held from 9 am to 12:15 pm and the second from 3 pm to 6:45 pm.
