The National Sugar Institute in Kanpur was established in 1936 under the auspices of the Central Government as the Imperial Institute of Sugar Technology. Subsequently, after several changes, it was renamed as the National Sugar Institute by the Government of India in 1957.

Qualification:


For postgraduate diploma courses, must have completed a bachelor's degree in a specific science discipline.  To get admission in certificate courses must have passed Plus 2 or Diploma studies.  


Admission Procedure:


Admission to Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate courses is through entrance examination and admission to fellowship programmes is through interview.


Entrance Exam Centers: Pune, Chennai, Delhi, Kanpur, Kolkata, Patna, Meerut and Gorakhpur.
