Curriculum: In the 10 semesters BS-MS course, students are trained in various disciplines of basic sciences as per the designed curriculum of the respective IISERs during the formative years. Subsequently, they can take up specialized subjects. Students must engage in full-time scientific and technical research throughout the fifth year.

Educational Qualification: Must have passed science subject as a primary subject in Plus 2 with at least 60% marks. For SC, ST and disabled students, 55 per cent marks is sufficient.

Admission Procedure: Admissions are carried out through 3 channels.

i) KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana),National Science Scholarship Eligibility Test conducted on behalf of the Central Department of Science and Technology.

ii) IIT-JEE (Advanced)

iii) SCB (State and Central Boards).SCB entrance exam conducted by the IISER involves a written test.
