Chennai: Tamil Nadu Engineering Counselling for general academic quota, rescheduled to commence on June 27, was called off through orders from Supreme Court will now commence on July 7.
Admission to engineering colleges Tamil Nadu functioning under the ambit of Anna University began on June 23 for sports quota and later followed by differently abled quota students.
But, counselling had to be put off midway due to a Supreme Court direction as AICTE failed to approve applications for new colleges and courses.
Subsequently, counselling for general academic quota that was scheduled to begin on June 27 failed to go as per original schedule.
Now, according to Anna University, counselling will resume on July 7.
Counselling for vocational stream would be held on July 9.
The enitire counselling would be completed by August 4
last minute changes in counselling timing has affected the first week batch very badly this should have been avoided with planning in advance
