For our country's education system to excel at the international level, all educational institutions must consider  it as their primary objective to provide the top quality education and continue to take proactive efforts towards it.

Although it is not possible for any educational institution to improve quality immediately, excellence can be achieved by emphasizing quality in every little activity and ensuring quality at all times.

Apart from recognition from local organizations in providing quality education,  also the recognition of international organizations like ABET, AACSB, AMBA, etc. become very important. Getting recognition from international organizations is not an easy task; it takes at least 6 years.

However, no educational institution should hesitate to call an organisation that provides international accreditation to test its quality. Only then will they be able to know about their current level of education and the aspects needed to improve to achieve international standards and take action accordingly.

Research involvement:

Next, quality education can be ensured only when there are professors who can engage in excellent research work. But, professors are not involved in research in most of our educational institutions. No time is being provided for that too. This situation has to change. Educational institutions should encourage professors to engage in research activities.

In an effort to provide quality education, thirdly, it's highly important to design a curriculum that matches the industry requirement. To give the good results institutions should offer courses with upgraded syllabus - must do away with outdated syllabus.

Selecting colleges:

As for students, it is important to choose and study in educational institutions that offer quality education. It also requires students to carry out some research. Most Indian students choose educational institutions based on word of mouth - this alone  should not be taken into consideration.

When taking up a 3 year course, one should select colleges after carrying out detailed research like seeing the college infrastructure facilities, talking to the college professors in person and knowing about the institution's accreditation.
