The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu conducts online admissions for undergraduate courses offered at Engineering colleges in TamilNadu.
Educational Institutions:
Government allocated seats in Anna University, Annamalai University, Constituent Colleges, Government Engineering Colleges, Government Aided Colleges, Autonomous Colleges and seats surrendered by self Financing Colleges are filled through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission TNEA counselling.
Apart from these, Central Electrochemical Research Institute - Karaikudi, Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology - Chennai and Indian Institute of Handloom Technology - Salem Places assigned by the Central Government Educational Institutions are also filled by TNEA counselling.
Courses and Duration: B.E., and B.Tech., Course - 8 semesters at the rate of four years in total
B.E., (Sandwich), Study - 10 Semesters Rate Total Five Years
Categories: Available to pick are lots of courses like Aeronautical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering.
Educational Qualification: Should have passed Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as primary subjects in 12th. Some vocational students can opt certain engineering courses to study. General category students must have a minimum of 45% marks in Plus 2 and other categories students must have 40% marks.
Necessary Certificates: 10th Mark List, Plus 2 Mark List or Equivalent Mark List , Transfer Certificate, Caste Certificate, Domicile Certificate and other special certificates as per requirement.
Counseling Procedure: Rank list prepared based on cut off marks calculated on the basis of marks secured by the students in three subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Based on that, colleges and the course is selected through online.
