New B.Tech., Mathematics & Computing program from this year! - 3-Sep-2022
Indian Institute of Science, popularly known as IISc, a premier institution of India, functional in Bangalore has introduced a new program - B.Tech., Mathematics & Computing.
The Indian Institute of Science has a rich legacy of fundamental scientific contributions as well as the application of its research findings for societal benefit.
The new BTech program in Mathematics and Computing is aimed at producing leaders who will be at the forefront of research, development, and innovation in futuristic disciplines and next generation technologies that require deep use of mathematics, computer science, and data science.
Objectives of the Program:
* The curriculum is designed to produce professionals who excel in research, development and innovation in future fields and next-generation technologies.
* At the undergraduate level, enormous opportunities will be discovered by providing a strong foundation in mathematics, computing and data science.
* Enable to make a significant difference in both education and industry. Through this course, which includes a multidisciplinary curriculum, greater contribution of experts from various departments of the educational institution is an added feature.
Syllabus: Along with the core subjects of Mathematics, Computing, EECS, Humanities, students are also given the opportunity to opt for other subjects as per their choice.
Total Seats: 52
Tuition Fee: General category and OBC category candidates have to pay tuition fee of Rs.2 lakh per annum and other charges totaling Rs.2 lakh 20 thousand 200 in the first year. SC / ST categories are exempted from payment of tuition fee of Rs.2 lakh. So, they have to pay only 20 thousand 200 rupees as a miscellaneous fee.
Educational Qualification: Must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Student admission is carried out based on JEE Advanced-2022 examination rank.
