Essentially, for any country to be prospective at the global level as a developed nation more importance should be given

to research activities.

For example, if we take a close look at developed nations like America, Britain, and Australia, we can literally see the colossal role of research in their development.

In such developed countries, universities especially have the responsibility of carrying out large-scale research and solving problems. But in India, universities are often considered places of teaching only.

More and more research should be carried out in all the government and private universities across the country for India to achieve the grandeur of being called a developed country.  The implementation of the National Education Policy which has been formulated to give importance to research is extremely welcome in this current situation.  Since research is given due importance in the NIRF ranking, more importance has been provided to it in educational institutions in the past few years.

Hence, every professor should be involved in research work. Various research activities are carried out in our university under the guidance of scientists from top institutions like ISRO, DRDO, and ICMR.

Business enterprises carry equal responsibility:

First of all, identifying the genuine problems of the common man would be possible only if we understand the challenges and the real pain. After that, research should be carried out to find a suitable solution to the identified problem.  In this aspect, not only the government but also the industries have a greater role to play.

In situations where the government is unable to provide adequate funding for research, industries should come forward to support. Although countries like the US spend $100 billion on research, India spends merely $8 billion. As a result, every big company can adopt a university and assist in research development. Not to push it away that the success of research can grow into a huge value worth billions.

Another mark of a developed nation is the possibility of creating more enterprises ... In recent times, there has been an increasing awareness of start-ups and entrepreneurship in our country. Realizing the magnitude for start-ups, our Prime Minister has also been constantly encouraging new ventures.

In our country, with a lot of potential youth, there is a huge requirement for entrepreneurs and talented personnel. In such a situation, innovative companies should be highly encouraged.
