Why & how to plan for students? - 28-Oct-2022
Planning is extremely imperative to go about every day, week and month.
While in High School or in College, its important to learn the skill of 'macro planning' (planning for a day without giving importance to the exact hour of execution). This would be of great help to maneuver through a day/ week more effectively making the best use of the available time.
Initially, its important to learn the art of macro planning and then move on to micro planning.
Generally, a day comprises 'some tasks to perform' and 'some communications' to be made.
Take out a small 'dairy' or a planner.
Make a list of 'To do List' and mark the most urgent/important/ordinary ones. Go about on priority with the 'urgent' task to be done immediately without postponement, followed by the 'important' ones and then the 'ordinary' ones.
Basically, some day-to-day task for students would comprise of Home Works, Projects, Preparation for Seminars, or Practice for Cultural programs, this also includes a birthday party or a weekend movie with friends.
Plan inclusively ( not only studies related).
Set legitimate or feasible tasks to accomplish for a day. Never overload a day with too many tasks to the extent of rushing through.
Then have the list of communications to be made for the day. It could be phone calls, emails or a Whatsapp messages.
Again, list out the urgent/important/regular communications to be made. Based on the right priority go ahead with your communications.
At the end of the day review all the 'tasks' and 'communications' carried out.
In case of failure to carry out certain 'tasks or communications' take them forward to the next day's 'tasks' and execute them under the category of 'urgent'.
This little macro planning for a day would help students to go about the day more effectively without wasting time.
Finally, it would stand as a great help to review how best the time was spent on a daily as well as on weekly basis.
