IBPS, an institute facilitating to crack banking exams! - 10-Dec-2022
The Institute of Banking Personal Selection shortly known as IBPS is an autonomous organization established to carry out evaluation and selection of staff at international standards!
Importance: This autonomous bodys primary task is to select qualified personnel for banking, insurance, and financial institutions; its capacity covers selecting qualified individuals for the job 'online'. In the year 2021-22 alone, 92 lakh candidates have applied to appear for various IBPS exams.
Recognition: It is registered as a Public Trust under the 'Societies Registration Act 1860' and the 'Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950'. The company also acts as an 'Associate Member' of the Indian Banks Association.
Tasks: The institution functions based on the philosophy of Speed, Accuracy, and Confidentially with the help of modern technology and experienced experts.
Main Participating Institutions: Recruiting the needed manpower for Public Sector Banks, State Bank of India, Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, IDBI, and other, is the primary task of IBPS. It also plays an important role in the effective conduct of admission tests of some universities and management institutes.
Achievements: Its strength lies in its ability to develop and construct Multiple Choice Objective Tests & Tools used for mass-level testing programmes and its ability to conduct these exams simultaneously for lakhs in over 200 centers across India as well as abroad. Furthermore, IBPS also has the expertise to conduct Assessment Centers & Group Dynamics Related Personality Assessment for the selection of personnel at higher level positions like AGMs/ DGMs/ GMs ets.
Ph.D. Course: IBPS is affiliated with SNDT Womens University for Ph.D. studies in Management (HR). Students allotted by the university take admission in the institute to complete their PhD work under the guidance of the faculty members of the institute who are recognised.
