GMAT is Graduate Management Admission Test, an eligibility test to write in order to get admission in the top educational institutes offering full-time or part-time MBA, or master's degrees in business and management disciplines.
Introduction: Educational institutions over 110 countries across the globe accept GMAT ( Graduate Management Admission Test) scores. Based on GMAT score, 2400 educational institutions provide admission to over 7700 programmes. Every year, about 1 lakh students take up this examination.
According to GMAC, which conducts this exam 7 out 10 candidates applying for management programmes at top 100 management schools take up this exam. Generally, 9 out of 10 students enrolling in MBA courses appear for this exam.
Exam Pattern: In this computer-based exam, students ability are tested in 4 sections like Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning.
Total Exam Time: 3:07 hours
Eligibility: There is no age limit to write this exam. Any undergraduate degree is sufficient.
Admission Process: Some educational institutes admit students based on the total score obtained in the GMAT exam. Some educational institutions give importance to one or two of these four sections being tested in the exam to admit students, Hence, students need to prepare for the GMAT exam based on the admission policy of the educational institution.
Scores obtained in the exam are valid for up to five years. A student can take this test a maximum of 8 times and 5 times in a year. The exam will be held in English language only.
