NEET- PG, National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test - Post Graduate is a mandatory test for admission to postgraduate medical programmes in India.

Courses and Exams:

Towards the admission of MD, MS, and Post Graduate Diploma programmes in Medicine one has to write NEET-PG exam and for the admission to MDS programme one has to write NEET-MDS exam.

These exams are conducted by the NBEMS, National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences. No state government, private medical colleges or universities are permitted to conduct any separate entrance examination for medical programmes.

Scope of NEET-PG

NEET-PG shall be the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses which will include the following:

1. All India 50% quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.

2. State quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.

3. All Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country

4. Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.

5. Post MBBS DNB Courses and Post MBBS NBEMS Diploma Courses

The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET- PG:

1. AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS

2. PGIMER, Chandigarh

3. JIPMER, Puducherry

4. NIMHANS, Bengaluru

5. Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum

How to Apply: To appear for exams of specific courses need to apply only online mode through https://nbe.edu.in/. Examination centers are set up in various cities of the country. Based on the entrance exam score student can get admission in the educational institutes of their choice.

Last date to apply:

NEET PG programmes: January 27

NEET � MDS : January 30th

Exam Date:

NEET � PG Programmes : March 5th

NEET � MDS: March 1st
