Research carried out in a nation as well plays a greater role in the development of the country.  The outcome of the research apart from solving a problem, also leads to bringing out social changes.

Funding imperative:

Quality research should be carried out in our country as well. But, the sad thing is that Indian educational institutions do not get copious funds for research like in a foreign country. In particular, private educational institutions often have to finance research expenses through their own resources.

Although corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds are used to some extent, more funds are required to carry out more research. Hence, the government should help private educational institutions.

Students from foreign countries came to India for quality higher education during the existence of Nalanda University.  At present, Indian students are the ones who go abroad in large numbers. This situation should change with more foreign students coming to India once again. To reach such a situation, Indian educational institutions should have better infrastructure, a good curriculum, experienced faculties and more research.

Accordingly, we are actively trying to raise our educational institution to international standards. In particular, we have excellent facilities and curriculum in dentistry.  Students here are under the guidance of professors having several years of experience.  We have state of art technology par to international standards. In documentation, we have gone completely digital, without any use of paper.  With more research brought out, we are top in QS international ranking.  We are also leading in the national NIRF rankings.

Right choice is important:

When a student does a practical once, it just looks like training. But, if the same practical is carried 100 times they become a Master. Likewise, every educational institution should encourage students to train for Mastery.

Only one department of studies will be right for a person. Not everyone would fit into appropriate fields.  For example, medicine would be a good choice of study for students who have a strong mind toward service to mankind. Therefore, if every student chooses the right field for him and develops his skills in it, the future will be bright.

The National Education Policy has various features and provides freedom to students, educational institutions and teachers. A National Education Policy designed to benefit all is extremely welcome.
