National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Society) was set up in the year 1982 by the Government of India as an autonomous body for coordinated growth and development of hospitality education in the country.
Apart from streamlining the entire process of providing education and training in the hospitality industry, NCHMCD offers various courses in hotel management and catering in collaboration with universities and educational institutes.

NCHMCD offers some courses in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University and Jawaharlal Nehru University. Furthermore, the educational institutions functional in major cities of the under Institute of Hotel Management offer various course in this industry.
Admission Method:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE ) for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Course at the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT) in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode.
However, admission to M.Sc., Courses is through M.Sc.- JEE Examination.
