Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, which has been declared as one of the best agricultural universities in the country by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, offers a wide range of courses.

Importance:

14 undergraduate degree programs, 33 master's degree programs and 28 research courses are offered in 19 constituent colleges and 38 research institutes of the university. Also, 28 private colleges are affiliated. The seats in member colleges of the university and government reserved seats in private colleges are filled through consultation.

Undergraduate Degrees:

B.Sc.,-(Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc., -(Hons) Horticulture, B.Sc., -(Hons) Food, Nutrition and Dietetics, B.Sc., -(Hons) Forestry, B.Sc. Sc., -(Hons) Sericulture, B.Tech., -Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech.,-Biotechnology, B.Sc.,-Agribusiness Management, B.Tech.,-Food  Technology, B.Tech.,- Energy and Environmental Engineering. Agriculture and Horticulture courses are also offered exclusively in Tamil medium.

Duration: 4 years

Educational Qualification:

Should have studied physics and chemistry in 12th standard. Mathematics and Biology subjects are expected for some courses. And in some courses, vocational students can also enroll. B.C., and B.C.M., category should have at least 50 percent aggregate marks in 4 main subjects in class 12th. Similarly, 45 percent marks in MBC and DNC categories and pass in SC, SCA and ST categories are sufficient.

Admission Procedure:

The rank list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the students in class 12 and based on that the admission counselling will be conducted online. Counselling for Sports Category Seats, Ex-Serviceman Seats, Govt School Reservation Seats, NRI Seats and other Special Reservation Seats will be held directly in the University Campus.
