Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University operates 10 research and training institutes, offering various undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses related to fisheries.

Objectives:

Special reservations are provided for ex-servicemen, differently-abled persons, heirs of freedom struggle martyrs, those who studied in Tamil Nadu government schools and children belonging to fishermen families. NRIs can also take admission in B.F.Sc., and B.Tech.- Fisheries Engineering courses.
