This scholarship aims to encourage outstanding academics, researchers and students from India to pursue education and research in US institutions with scholarships.

The US India Education Foundation � USIEF that was established to promote mutual education and research exchange between India and the US, provides the Fulbright Nehru Fellowship Program.

Domains:  Materials Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Agriculture, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, International Legal Education, Neuroscience, Education Policy and Planning, History, Anthropology, Women & Gender Studies, Public Policy, Public Health are the various fields. 

Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship:

In this program, outstanding research students pursuing Ph.D. are given the opportunity to conduct research in the US for 6-9 months.

Qualifications: Adequate research experience in the relevant discipline. Must have obtained Ph.D. admission in any Indian University before November 2, 2022.

Scholarship: Includes expenses like visa fee, tuition fee, airfare, monthly expenses and medical insurance.

Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Research Fellowship:

An exclusive academic program with scholarships for PhD, or DM degree holding professors and researchers from India.

Eligibility: Candidates who have completed or are about to complete Ph.D., or DM within the last 4 years can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship: Depending on the selected field of study, 8 to 24 months of tuition fees, airfare, monthly expenses and medical insurance will be provided.  Monthly incentives too are provided.

Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowship:

An exclusive scholarship scheme for teachers, researchers and experts in the field

Qualifications: Teachers and researchers should hold Ph.D.  Specialists in the field should have at least  5 years of field experience after obtaining Master�s degree.

Scholarship: International air travel, monthly expenses and medical insurance will be provided.

Duration:  Based on the field of choice the scholarship will be provided for 4 to 9 months. 

Fulbright-Nehru International Education Administrators Seminar:

Under this program,  Indian college and university administrators can travel to the US for two weeks  to learn about the US higher education system.

The program provides an opportunity to share information about the Indian education system in addition to gaining knowledge about the types of American educational institutions, accreditation process, curriculum development, financial development, international education and student services.

Qualifications: At least two years of experience in international educational development and management functions in colleges or universities in India. University Vice-Chancellors, Directors, Registrars, Foreign Education Advisers etc. can apply.

Scholarship: J-1 visa, international airfare, accommodation expenses and medical insurance will be provided.
