The Indian school of Business Management (ISB) was started in the year 2001 in the City of Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh In last eight years, it has developed into a premier educational institution of India. This educational institution was started with joint effort of Indias leading Business establishments and with the assistance from Andhra Pradesh Govt.
A Londons leading business daily, Financial Times conducted an opinion study. The ISB got 15th position. The ISB got second ranking in Asia just after Chinas CEIPS.
It is a research based autonomous educational institution. This institution functions in alliance with Americas Wharton College, Kellogg school of Management and London Business School, London.
The programme offered here are:
- Post Graduate Programme in Management (One year course)
- Post Doctoral Programme in Management (Two year and 4 months course)
Apart from this, the institute offers executive programme for working professionals. A minimum of two years of experience is required for this course. Based on GMAT scores a direct interview would be conducted. Students who get through this are get admission.
ISB is situated in a prime spot in Hyderabad, where several corporates like Infosys, Micorsoft, Wipro are located. Students studying in this institution are all assured of jobs. Students completing studies here get an annual income of Rs 20, 00, 000/
The administrative committee consists of Indias leading business tycoons like Ratan Tata, Anil Ambani, Lakshmi Mittal, Rahul Bajaj, Naraynan Murthy and Shiv Nadar. In 2006, George Bush, the President of America, addressed the students of ISB. The institution is equipped with a library over 31, 000 books. All the students rooms are provided with internet facility. A bookstore and bank is available within the ISB campus, exclusively for the benefit of students.
