Breaking free from the shackles of the fake image that Engineering studies was carrying around itself, time and again it has proved that Engineering is a field that always offers opportunities to every segment of the people.  This reality is revealed in the fact that more and more students are opting for engineering studies that is displayed in the total number of applications received from students for participating in the online engineering counselling!  Today, most of the students take admission in educational institutes with the aim of getting better job opportunities. No, nothing is wrong with that. The primary purpose of education is to bring out self-confident individuals to function better in the society. Our educational institutions functions to fulfill such a purpose. By actively pursuing such activity, students easily acquire better employability and innovative entrepreneurial skills.

New discoveries:

In the four year engineering course, every year we offer projects to our students like Ideathon, Solvathon, Innovathon, Inspirathon. Instead of just doing out mega project only in the final year, we encourage students carry out project activities right from the beginning itself, in effort to bring out innovative findings and to shape entrepreneurs.    Through these efforts, students try to identify social problems, work on it and find appropriate solutions to the problems. In pursuit of seeking knowledge and bring out new discoveries, students and professors should work together. 

Need to use government schemes: 

In today's digital world, it is lot more easy to communicate and discuss, exchange ideas and develop skills with experts from any corner of the world. More than ever before, in recent times there has been a greater backing for innovation in our country. Beyond implementing initiatives like Advanced Manufacturing Center, Atal Innovation Mission, Atal Tinkering Lab, Smart India Hackathon, Tamil Nadu Start-up and Innovation Mission, the Central and State governments are continuously working on to bring out new projects.

Students should also make full use of programs like IEEE, NPTEL, Jalshakti, Clean Energy etc. Along with studying engineering, developing other skills is exceedingly necessary for every student.

Today there are many opportunities in all fields. In such a situation, those who say there are no opportunities mean that they do not understand them properly. Sky is the limit for those who seek the right opportunities.
