Scopes, a non- profitable international organization lists the rankings of the universities once in every three years.
Recently, few Indian universities were listed in this ranking. The ranking was done on evaluation based on the quality of laboratories available in the University. The ranking was prepared based on the evaluation made on the laboratories from the year 1999 to 2008.
In this ranking, Hyderbad University has bagged the first position. Totally, 25 universities were listed in the ranking. The Delhi University took the second place. The Hyderbad University got this special ranking particularly due to excellent quality research reporting and the excellent functioning of various departments. The university is also well known for its information centers of different departments and its overall functioning
Further, Indias popular ranking institution NAAC has also ranked it as grade A, the highest grade.
