In the last few years more Indian personnel are welcomed across the globe. There is great need for Indian professionals in countries, where the population of elderly person is high. However, it is quiet uncertain whether economic slump has brought any changes in this regard.

Presently, America is facing tough unemployment crisis and an unusual 9% of them are without jobs.  The American financial institutions are the worst affected. Most of the Indians are employed in this sector. Assistance is provided to the affected companies through the American Governments financial aid scheme.  This financial aid is provided only after confirming that no American citizens have been sent off from the company.

Hence, nobody has applied for around 20, 000 American H1B Visas, which is most sought visa across the globe. Human resource experts say that Indian professionals are wanted everywhere although no new jobs are created in most parts of the world.

Due to the present economic slowdown, the central ministry recently conducted a survey on the Indians living abroad to assess the condition of the Indian professionals and personnel working in various parts of the world. The study revealed that Indian professionals were preferred when new vacancies were created across the globe. In the year 2008, when economic slowdown began the Indian personnel living in foreign countries have gained nearly Rs 2250 crores as income.

Presently, it is estimated that in this year too there would be an increase in this aspect., The central govt desires them to send as investments, apart from sending as savings.  Although presently Dubai is facing financial crunch, which was the most favourite place for Indian work force, still Indian personnel prefer going to gulf countries like Oman and Saudi Arabia. The total number of Indians who had gone gulf countries in the year 2007 2008 was 8 lakhs. In the year 2008- 2009, it has gone up to 8.75 lakhs. In the same way, there is no increase in the number persons returning from foreign nations.

Talented Indian professionals are preferred through European Union Blue card system. It is easy to get permanent citizenship for the professionals through this new system. Sweden has introduced workers citizenship scheme. The objective of this scheme is to encourage talented Indians. Similarly, Denmark has recently opened a help centre in Delhi. The French govt has announced a special license for talented Professionals. This license is provided for three years and can be easily renewed.

Through the existing need for Indian work force across the globe, individuals waiting to go abroad for jobs in the field of IT would be highly benefited.  In countries like Romania, Britain and America excellent job opportunities await for IT professionals in the coming months.
