Chennai: An initiative of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to promote creative expression and writing skills of the students has garnered as many as 20,113 entries from across the country.
Students from 32 states and Union Territories have submitted their essays and poems in assorted languages, including Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Malayalam, Odia, Telugu and English, a CBSE statement has revealed. The expression series was held on July 10 and 11. The participants were given ample time to research and put forth their creativity as essay or poem in any of the 22 scheduled languages and English, it said.
