Second phase of medical counselling under way- 23-Jul-2015
Chennai: The second leg of counselling for admission to medical and dental seats in government and self-financing colleges in the state is under way.
After the counselling session ended on Wednesday, 57 seats remained vacant in self-financing medical colleges, while in government medical colleges three seats remained vacant—one each in MBC, BMC and SCA categories. In the self-financing dental colleges, as many as 903 seats were vacant with 274 vacancies in the open category. A total of 10 seats were vacant in the government dental college.
It was reported that at the end of the first phase of medical counselling held from June 19 to 25, more than 1,400 candidates had been waitlisted for the around 60 seats in medical colleges that fell vacant then.
