Puducherry: As many as 3,832 engineering seats are up for grabs through the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) which has inaugurated the counselling sessions.
For the first day of counselling on Wednesday, 1,143 candidates were invited. The first phase of counselling for engineering courses will be on till July 27 and the second phase will be held in the first week of August.
However, the counselling for admissions to medical and engineering courses through the CENTAC for the Scheduled Caste students will be held after the Madras High Court gives direction in a case pending in this regard. There are 60 MBBS seats for the SC candidates while the number of engineering seats for SC is yet to be finalised, it has been reported.
