IIT R takes back expelled students- 4-Aug-2015
Dehradun: On Monday, the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, took back all the 72 students it had expelled earlier on the grounds of poor performance.
All of them had scored less than 5 CGPA (cumulative grade point average) in their examinations and were expelled from the institution, which led to protests and court petition.
Even some of the student wings of political outfits joined the expelled students in their struggle to get reinstated.
The Uttarakhand high court, too, did not want to meddle with the institute's affairs.
But finally, the IIT took back the expelled students to the cheer of the campus.
