Second Science Conclave 2009- IIT (A)-
The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIT-A) will conduct its second Science Conclave from December 8th to 15th , 2009. A Science Conclave is a mega symposium, exhibition and lecture series on science and technology.
The first Science Conclave was conducted from December 15th to 21st ,2008 at IIT-A.
The Conclave was attended by Nobel Laureates from across the World. The Conclave was conducted with the aim to rejuvenate Science Education in the World particularly in India.
This was the first biggest science gathering in the country, attended by 12 Nobel Laureates like Martin Lewis Perl, Jerome Issac Friedman, Harod Harry Walter Kroto, Claude Cohen Tannoudji and A.A Slavnov.
Senior members from Government secretariat, concerned ministries and from Atomic, Nuclear and Space Research Departments featured on the guest lists. Emerging trends in scientific research and technological innovation were discussed. Hundreds of Indian scientists, researchers and technology students got the chance to interact with the best in the World. Indian and International media persons were invited to cover the event.
