91.4 % pass this year in plus two common exam - 17-May-2016
Chennai: Results of plus two common exams that were held in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry was released today with total pass percentage of 91.4% against last year’s 90.6%.
Totally 8, 76,136 students appeared for the common exam. 8, 33, 682 appeared through schools.
Among the entire students who wrote the exam 3, 88,935 were boys and 4, 44,747 were girls.
Pass percentage of boys appeared through schools were 87.9% and pass percentage of girls appeared through schools were 94.4%.
A total of 4, 99, 463 students obtained above 60%.
Centum scorers this year have significantly come down than last year, except in few subjects.
Subjects that saw a marginal increase in centum scorers are Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Commerce and Business Mathematics.
