National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate, a mandatory test for admission to undergraduate medical degrees at any educational institution across the country!

Courses: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS and other medical courses recognised by the National Medical Commission.

Educational Institutions & Reservations: 

Based on NEET, admission to medical studies is carried out in all educational institutions such as State Institutions, Central Institutions, Universities, Deemed Universities, Private Colleges.

Students aspiring to get admission through reservation like All India Quota, State Government Quota, Management Quota, NRI quota must write NEET- UG that is a Pen & Paper-based Test.

Examination procedure: 

Need to apply only online through the official website ( of National Testing Agency (NTA), established by the central Government that conducts this exam. 

Students must answer 45 questions each in Physics and Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each subject will have two sections A and B. There will be 35 questions in A section, all which are compulsory and 15 questions in B section. It is enough for students to answer 10 out of 15 questions in Section-B.

The examination comprises a total of 180 questions to be answered with each correct answer carrying 4 marks, for a maximum of 720 marks. All the questions are of ''Multiple Choice Questions'' (MCQ). For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.         

Exam Duration: 3.20 hours.

Languages in which the questions will be asked are English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Punjabi.

Important Note: Various items including mobile phone, calculator, pen, belt, food are prohibited inside the examination hall. There is a strict regulation on dresses too. Therefore, it is essential for students to be familiar with the rules before proceeding to write the exam.
