Sacred Heart students awarded Young Learners Certificates - 9-Aug-2016
Chennai:Cambridge English Language Assessment (Part of the University of Cambridge) awarded the students of Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Anna Salai, Chennai, with the certificates of excellence.
Students who had cleared the Young Learners English tests were awarded with the certificates during an event that took place recently in the Sacred Heart Matric. Hr. sec. school.
Mr. T. K. Arunachalam, Regional Manager – South Asia, Cambridge English Language Assessment was the Chief Guest for the event. Rev. Sr. Prabha,the Principal & the teachers of Sacred Heart Matriculation Hr. Sec. School and Cambridge English officials participated in the ceremony.
TheCambridge English: Young Learners programme was introduced in November 2015 in the school and the students took the exams on 19 March 2016. Upon successful completion of the course, the candidates received the certificates. The school management has integrated this Cambridge Young Learners English (YLE)programme in the curriculum from grade one to eight in this academic year 2016-17.
A total of 201 students from second to fourth grade of Sacred Heart Matriculation Hr. Sec. School received the certificates during the event. The certificates from Cambridge English are respected and recognised globally.
